Es una capa vector (shapefile) de inundación futura al año 2040 , escala1:5.000 del área de estudio de la isla de San Andrés , cobertura que se realizó con base a <\/SPAN>el área de inundación actual <\/SPAN>donde <\/SPAN>se utilizó información de distintos proyectos y entidades, las cuales, entre el 2011 y 2012 hicieron diagnósticos con ayuda de la comunidad sobre las áreas más susceptibles de inundación. De estos proyectos se escogieron las capas \u201cHumedales intervenidos y zonas susceptibles de inundación\u201d (Coralina, febrero 2011) y la capa \u201cSectores inundables\u201d extraído del Plan de alcantarillado pluvial, las cuales se unieron con la herramienta \u201cUnion\u201d del Toolbox de ArcGIS. También de acuerdo con la cobertura del ecosistema manglar, se creó un buffer de 1 metro alrededor de cada polígono con la herramienta \u201cBuffer\u201d del Toolbox de ArcGIS, generando un campo para estas llamado \u201cInundación natural del ecosistema\u201d.Al unir todas las capas, quedaron todas con una columna de \u201cCausas de inundación \u201d donde se especifica por cual fenómeno ocurre la inundación, creándose de este modo el área de inundación <\/SPAN>futura<\/SPAN>que fue utilizada para el diagnóstico de amenaza<\/SPAN>por inundación<\/SPAN>.Como causa de inundación futura se calculó el área de inundacion por ascenso del nivel del mar <\/SPAN>tom<\/SPAN>ando <\/SPAN>como referencia el nivel de inundación de este escenario pesimista al año 2040, <\/SPAN>que <\/SPAN>asume desde las mediciones realizadas en el puerto de Cristóbal (Colón) en Panamá, una tendencia calculada sobre la serie de datos tomado en el puerto de Cristóbal de 2,3 mm/año. Es decir al año 2040 habrá un nivel del mar a 5,98 cm de altura a partir del nivel del escenario actual planteado <\/SPAN>.<\/SPAN><\/P>

La capa se encuentra enmarcada dentro del \u201cConvenio<\/SPAN> Interadministrativo de Asociación No. 003 DE 2013\u201d entre CORALINA y el INVEMAR. \u201cEvaluación de la vulnerabilidad por ascenso en el nivel del mar (ANM) y Propuesta de lineamientos de adaptación en las islas de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina.
